VARIOUS EVENTS in DIENG CULTURE FESTIVAL 2016

Organizer committe for Dieng Culture Festival 2016 is planning to present a new thing in the annual cultural event. The goal are that tourists can get involve and watch different things from years to years in the Dieng Culture Festival show that already happened in previous years.

Variety show in 2016 Dieng Culture Festival 2016 will begin on August 5, 2016, opening ceremony will be held at 14:00 pm on the main stage, precisely place are on the east of Arjuna temple complex. The plan are will be start after opening session performance, there will be a main stage music performance that directed by Cak Nun - Kyai Kanjeng gamelan orchestra group, from Yogyakarta. The festival opening performance will end at 17:00 pm.

For visitors that interested in enjoying the sunset, can go up to the scooter hill which can be reached just over 15 minutes if you start from the Dieng Kulon village, by paying ticket contributions IDR 5000,- to the levy charged office. The variety of art shows performer itself not only from the Dieng plateau area, but also from many other regions that participated in Dieng Culture Festival in 2016. In the middle of the show, there is will be a performance of the traditional arts, visitors also can enjoy the view of natural lanscape of Dieng plateau area, such as color lake (telaga warna), crater Sikidang, as well as other natural tourist sites.

The next night (On August 7), at 20:00 pm, will be held on the main stage are acoustic music performances and stand up comedy performances, before flying thousands lanterns event will be conducted jointly. The lantern will be flown together at 21.00 pm. Highly recommended, all visitors not to fly up their lanterns before the cue from MC / master of ceremony of the event. It is estimated, the flight time takes up to 45 minutes, because the event organizers provide 5,000 lanterns for visitors that already registered and that have ID Card. On the day of Sunday, August 7, 2016 is the last day cultural festival in the Dieng Plateau Area (country on the cloud), which is a series of children's with dreadlock hair (rambut gimbal) haircut ritual. The event began with the carnival culture of indigenous stakeholders at house of Mbah Naryono at 06.00 pm. Special carnival culture event, organizers will provide opportunity for interested visitors involved to participate in carnival culture with traditional clothes. However, we put the limit only for 80 people. The tourists who are interested to engage in cultural carnival will be required to register with the provisions established by the committee.

After the carnival culture around Dieng plateau area, a series of haircut ritual are jamasan or (purify) in Dharamsala, before cutting hair ceremony in Arjuna temple complex. Some children with dreadlock hair, will haircutting by a number of figures who are appointed by the event organizer, headed by the spiritual leader of the tribe in Dieng plateau area, mbah Naryono. The event will end at 13:00 pm.

While in the temple complex Arjuna are there is no hair cutting ceremony, the cultural stage there is a special leather puppet show ritual, and a variety of traditional arts performances on stage and or there is other locations that can be enjoyed by the visitors.
